Weiss is 1" shorter and 10 lbs lighter than Richards but you are right Richards has more consistent numbers and less down time. But on the hockey news he has stated that he would play for less money to play for Tampa, but Tampa already has Stamkos and Vinny....? Do they move Vinny and a bad contract out and bring Richards back? But at 6'4" and 223lbs I don't mind that a bit the big body we need in front of the net and he is still producing well enough at 31, 25-29-54 pts. in 65 games.
I think Stastny would be the gem I'd have to figure not that big either but puts up good numbers since getting to the NHL level and he's 26 so do we trade draft picks on draft day or start moving out some promising prospects......I also read on the Hockey News site that the N.Y. Islanders are willing to trade their #1 pick 5th overall, interesting but do we need to move up there. I don't think we see much in the way of any type of moves till the 24th at any rate, people need their cards to play at the draft table.
I love this time of year, we know Philly has to move someone in order to bring in Breezer can we out bid Columbus? Sure we can but is Burke willing to part with some of the key pieces he's acquired? Columbus is offering top prospect Jakub Voracek, as well as the team's eighth overall pick in this year's draft. Now I'm pretty sure Burke could top that, but that still leaves me with a nagging question....what is with Carter always involved in trade talks...???? He was offered to the Leafs 3 years ago I think it was for Kabby and a first round pick I think the deal went something like that.

It was alleged Cliff Fletcher, Toronto's Manager at the time, reached agreement with Philadelphia agreed to send 29 year-old Tomas Kaberle for 22 year-old Jeff Carter and Philadephia's 2008 1st round pick. Tomas Kaberle has a conditional NTC (No Trade Clause) in his contract where it goes dormant during the summer when Toronto fails to make the playoffs.

That had to be the worst non trade ever made....and now for a Monty Python...for something completely different. Any news out of San Jose??? There is a team chock full of talent going nowhere are they moving anyone?
